Profile: Voice of Hope Behind the Wall Prison Ministry
Deaconess Lori Wilbert brings the prison population a Voice of Hope, the voice of Jesus Christ. She serves those behind bars at Stateville Prison in Crest Hills, Illinois, near Joliet, where she teaches a weekly class called Houses of Healing and counsels individual inmates. She also shares presentations on Restorative Justice, a process whereby offenders and those they harmed work together for reconciliation.
