People Ablaze is the mission movement of the Northern Illinois District, Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod, as it reaches into communities through individuals and local churches to ignite New Starts...New Believers.
People Ablaze! tells the stories of Lutheran Christians who are working together to share the Gospel in God-pleasing ways, drawing people to Word and Sacrament ministry so that, by God's grace and the power of the Holy Spirit, they will be brought to saving faith in Jesus Christ.

After more than 20 years in the field of marketing, and extensive service in ministry in congregations, Larry became Lutheran Church Extension Fund Vice President for the Northern Illinois District of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod in October 2000. Through his duties of fund promotion, investor development and loan servicing, he "helps congregation and individuals better see how they can directly help fulfill the Great Commission through ministry partnership with LCEF." His enthusiasm for his work promoting missions and ministry in the NID led him to accept the position of Director of the People Ablaze! movement in the spring of 2005. Larry and his wife, Brenda, reside in Oswego, Illinois, and have two grown children. |

Jackie is a graduate of Concordia Teachers College, in Seward, Nebraska, and has been in communications from her college years on, first in community newspapers in Nebraska and St. Louis and then joining the Northern Illinois District LCMS communications team in 1986. She is currently communications manager for the district, 20-year veteran editor of The Northern Light newspaper, and editor of the Sparks newsletter since October 2007. Jackie and her husband, Mark, live in Elmhurst, Illinois, and have four sons and a daughter.

Dianne provides administrative support to the team as the Database Manager. Her many years of church secretarial experience have helped prepare Dianne for her role as part of the Mission Advancement and Communications team at the Northern Illinois District LCMS. Dianne and her husband, Tom, have been members at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Aurora, Illinois, since 1995. They have a daughter and son-in-law in the US Navy and two children attending St. Paul Lutheran High School in Concordia, MO. |
